Deploy ServerWand with Vultr

ServerWand is a magical control panel for managing websites and servers. Host multiple sites on a single server, manage apps, firewall, databases, backups, system users, cron jobs, SSL and email with an intuitive interface.

Deploy a ServerWand Marketplace App

Vultr's App Marketplace allows you to easily deploy software on a Server. To access Vultr's App Marketplace:

  1. Log in to your Vultr account.

  2. From the dashboard, click on the Products button in the left-hand navigation menu.

  3. Click the Deploy Instance button.

  4. The Instance creation page will appear.

  5. Under the Server Type section, click Marketplace Apps and select ServerWand

  6. Once you have selected the app, proceed to the app’s Options section and provide values for the required fields.

When you’ve provided all required Vultr Options, click on the Deploy now button. ServerWand will complete installation anywhere between 2-5 minutes after your server has finished provisioning.

Getting Started After Deployment

Connect your server to ServerWand

After your Server is created you will be presented with a link to connect to ServerWand.

  1. Once connected you will be prompted to enter a name for your server, then hit the Save button.

  2. ServerWand will complete the installation so that your server can then be managed in ServerWand.

    Software Included

    The ServerWand App will add an SSH Key to your Server so that you can claim the server in the ServerWand control panel. Once connected the following software will be installed on your Server:

    Software Description
    MariaDb Relational database.
    PHP 7 PHP is needed by apps like Wordpress
    Apache HTTP Server Web server used to serve the WordPress site.
    Zip / Unzip Used to manage archives
    Fail2ban Intrusion prevention software
    Certbot Used to generate SSL certificates
    VSFTPD FTP software
    Postfix Postfix is needed for websites to send emails
